ISIS Solicitation on Harvard University Campus?

Harvard University is investigating reports that a man visited the campus and asked people to donate money to a charity linked to ISIS.

"An unidentified male came to the school on Tuesday, saying that he was soliciting donations for charity connected to the Islamic state," said the Kennedy School of Government in an email to Harvard students. "He has not been seen on the campus since that time. At this time there does not appear to be a threat to the community."

School officials say it was important to let the community know about the situation, but students don't see a need to be afraid of the Islamic terrorist group.

And some find it funny that someone would come to a college campus asking for donations.

"Seems kind of strange that a terrorist organization is broadly soliciting donations on JFK Street," said grad student George Liu.

"If they're trying to get money for us then they're in trouble," said another student. "We're students. We've got a lot of debt. Yeah, this is great, they'll struggle for money!"

The man, believed to be in his 20s or 30s, has not been seen on campus since. Havard University Police have been notified about the situation.
