Indecent Assault Reported in Brookline, Massachusetts

Police in Brookline, Massachusetts, are searching for a suspect after an indecent assault was reported Thursday night.

Investigators say a woman was walking in the area of the 1100 block of Beacon Street when a man jogged by her, then stopped at a stoop and began acting suspiciously.

"She noticed an individual hiding on the stoop," said Brookline Police Lt. Philip Harrington. "He was hiding his face, she continued to walk past him."

That's when police say the man started to jog again. As he came up from behind her, he allegedly grabbed her from behind.

Harrington said the victim screamed and the man fled on foot. He ran west on Beacon and was last seen turning left on Kent Street.

There were several indecent exposures last year in same area, but at this point, police don't believe they're related.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s who is about six feet tall with blonde hair. He was wearing a white shirt, dark colored shorts and a baseball cap.
