Police in Manchester, New Hampshire, say an investigation is underway after a person was shot Thursday morning.
Manchester Police said the shooting happened in the area of Maple and Hanover streets around 7 a.m. The victim, 24-year-old Mason Pereira, suffered from several gunshot wounds. He is in serious condition at Elliot Hospital.
Police immediately detained the suspect, later identified as 64-year-old Ira Cohen of Manchester. He is charged with two counts of first degree assault.
