Just One Piece: New Push for Clues in Molly Bish Case

The mother of the 16-year-old who went missing in 2000 in Waren, Massachusetts, still holds out hope that her daughter's killer will be found.

Magi Bish smiles and her eyes sparkle whenever she talks about her daughter Molly, who was kidnapped and killed 14 years ago while on duty as a lifeguard in Warren, Massachusetts.

Sixteen-year-old Molly went missing from Comins Pond in the summer of 2000. Three years later, the teenager's bathing suit and partial remains were found in the woods in Central Massachusetts. Her disappearance and murder remain a mystery.

Sarah Stein, a private detective and professor at Western New England University, is helping Magi and John Bish with the latest campaign to find their daughter's killer.

"We've had at least 10 phone calls, called into me, about tips with very promising new information that has never been disclosed before," said Stein.

The name of the campaign, "Just One Piece," refers to their belief that one added piece of evidence could solve this crime. On this day, people who think they might know something traveled to a hotel in Sturbridge, where they were able to make confidential statements about the Bish case.

Persons of interest have been identified over the years. Police have a sketch of a man seen at the pond around the time Molly Bish vanished.

Her family is now bracing itself for next year, the 15th year of Molly's disappearance.

"We were five, and we had to learn to be four," said Magi Bish. "It was difficult. As you can see, it's still difficult."
