Large Marijuana Grow Operation Discovered

More than 100 marijuana plants in various stages of maturity found

Police in Worcester, Massachusetts, discovered a large marijuana grow operation on Tuesday.

Members of the Vice Squad were in possession of a search warrant for 3 Agate Avenue. The target of the search warrant was 56-year-old Stephen Simone.

More than 100 marijuana plants, in various stages of maturity, were found. In addition, officers found a large amount of functioning equipment needed for the cultivation of marijuana, and packaging material.

Officers also recovered about two pounds of marijuana packaged for sale.

In another room, officers found fifty .25 caliber cartridges of ammunition. Simone did not have a license/FID card to own or possess the ammunition.

Simone was placed under arrest, and charged with possession of Class D substance with intent to distribute, manufacture of Class D substance, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
