At least two houses were hit by lightning Friday night in the Forestdale neighborhood of Sandwich, Massachusetts, according to the Sandwich Fire Department.
The first strike was reported at 11:19 p.m. at 58 Greenville Dr. A man received a contact shock from his computer. He was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non-serious injuries.
A minute later, a second call came in for a lightning strike at 67 Greenville Dr. Crews had to call mutual aid to assist with putting out the fire. While there isn't a cost estimate, officials say the house sustained moderate to heavy damage.
The Sandwich Fire Department received 30 calls Friday night, including the home lightning strikes, four car accidents and a brush fire.
