Limited Service Continues for MBTA

While work for many Massachusetts residents has resumed as normal, the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority's service has not.

Although some commuters say they understand the transit system's problems, which have resulted from histortic snowfall and extreme cold temperatures, others say they are frustrated.

Friday's service will be still be limited, with fewer cars and less frequent service.

On the Red Line, which has been experiencing the most problems, buses will replace train service from Braintree to North Quincy through Sunday. The MBTA has teamed up with Peter Pan Buses, which has offered to lend some of their vehicles to help out with the Red Line issues.
