Local Business Kicks Off “Food Bucket Challenge”

One local business is offering incentive to get people to donate food

The ALS ice bucket challenge has been such a big hit that it got a local business thinking about a challenge that involves filling something up instead of dumping it out.

Heidi Nicholson is the co-owner of Bella Sera Bridal of Danvers, Massachusetts.

She joined us to discuss the "food bucket challenge."

She said that with the Market Basket dispute there were many food pantries going without food and that her store wanted to do something.

The challenge was then created to get people to bring in food with an incentive to get discounts on items in the store and a possible catered lunch for the grand prize.
