MBTA Employee Arrested for OUI

Karen Snow was on her way to work when she was stopped by police

An MBTA employee was arrested for drunken driving on Friday.

Karen Snow of North Reading, Massachusetts, was arrested on Friday morning for operating under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop in North Reading. She is a bus driver for the MBTA and was on her way to work at the time of her arrest.

She appeared in Woburn District Court on Monday, and was charged with a DUI.

She was released on conditions, including no driving without a valid license, no alcohol or drugs, and is subject to random screen tests.

Snow will be back in court on June 9.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said Snow has been placed on unpaid administrative leave because her Class D driver's license and CDL were revoked as a result of the incident.
