Officials worked to remove a man pinned under a train at the Broadway stop, MBTA confirmed Tuesday night.
Transit Police responded to a call that a person had been struck by a Red Line train, and upon initial investigation, said the man was trespassing before being struck by an inbound train.
Boston Fire officials removed him and he was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Train service in the area is expected to resume Tuesday night, MBTA said.
Authorities said they are still investigating the incident. No other information has been released.
