MBTA Moving Forward With Service Restoration Plan

The MBTA is moving forward with its 30-day plan to fully-restore service to the system

The MBTA is moving forward with its 30-day plan to fully-restore service to the system hampered and heavily delayed by recent storms and bursts of cold.

Officials are saying most Boston transit service will be restored by Monday and the rest by the end of the month.

The Red Line's stretch from JFK/UMass to North Quincy and the Green Line's E line will open on Friday, Feb. 20, for full service.

The Green Line's B line and the rest of the Red Line to Braintree will open on Monday, Feb. 23, while the Red Line's extention between Ashmont and Mattapan will open on Friday, Feb. 27.

Here is the following schedule information as of Thursday morning. You can also check the MBTA website for full updates.

Red Line

- Available from Ashmont to Alewife Station
- Trains between Alewife and Ashmont every 12 minutes.
- Limited bus service between JFK/UMass and Braintree.

Green Line
- C branch limited trolley service will operate in both directions from North Station to Cleveland Circle Station
- Limited trolley service operating on both C and D branches.
- Along B branch, Route 57 buses to make stops between Packards Corner and Kenmore Stations. Limited bus service available between Packards Corner, Boston College.
- Along the E branch, service to operate between Prudential and Lechmere Stations.

Orange Line
- Service available at all stations between Oak Grove and Forest Hills.
- Trains every nine minutes.

Blue Line
- Serving all stations between Wonderland and Bowdoin. Trains every five minutes.

Mattapan Trolley Line service remains suspended. The Commuter Rail will operate on a weekday schedule through Feb. 20.
