The April snow is likely to blame for a big delay for passengers taking the Commuter Rail from Boston to Providence on Monday.

Passengers aboard the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority train were left without lights or heat for more than an hour -- after it got stuck.

The train came to a complete stop near Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood.

Riders took to Twitter to share their frustrations.

The railcar was unable to get traction, so the MBTA sent out another train to push it for the rest of the route.

But, it got even worse for some passengers. The conductor told them if they were headed to TF Green or Wickford, they would need to get off in Providence and there would be a bus there waiting for them, reports necn affiliate WJAR.

But, when the train arrived, there wasn't a bus there to greet them, and they had to wait even longer.
