A young Maine man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a child and possessing child pornography, authorities said.
Twenty-one-year-old Christian Cooper of Gardiner is being held without bail at the Kennebec County Jail.
Maine State Police say investigators found a large amount of child pornography on his computers and other electronic devices when they searched his Elm Street apartment. Police say officials are now examining Cooper's computers to see if he took photos of an assault on a young child.
There's no word on if he has a lawyer or when he'll be arraigned.
