Maine Man Killed Trying to Avoid a Cat in the Road

A Bowdoinham, Maine, man died in Sabattus, Maine, Monday morning when he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid a cat in the road.

Kenneth Hutter, 58, was driving west on Crowley Rd in a Nissan sport utility vehicle when he crossed the center line and hit a 2007 Dodge sedan, destroying both cars.

According to the Portland Press Herald, the driver of the Dodge, Michelle Lowell, and a passenger were taken to Central Maine Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sabattus Police and the Maine State Police are investigating the accident.
