A Maine man is facing a slew of charges after leading New Hampshire State Police on a high speed chase in Antrim on Monday night.
Troopers responded to the incident at 10:13 p.m. after Antrim Police called for assistance when the driver of a pickup truck fled a traffic stop. Police said they initially stopped the driver for speeding on Route 9.
Police said the driver then took off and fled towards Interstate 89, reaching speeds in excess of 100 mph. The driver continued southbound and was operating recklessly, passing vehicles in the right breakdown lane.
Police said the driver eventually lost control of the truck, striking two posts and the guardrail, and came to a rest in some snow. He then got out of the truck and fled on foot into the woods.
After establishing a perimeter, police sent in a K9 crew and located the man a short distance away.
The driver, identified as Joshua Young, 32, of Garland, Maine, was taken into custody.
Young was charged with two counts of disobeying a police officer, two counts of driving after suspension, reckless conduct, conduct after an accident, and aggravated driving under the influence.

Young is being held on $20,000 cash bail. He's scheduled to be arraigned on December 20 in the Hillsborough and Concord District Courts.
