Man Accused in Interstate Crime Spree to Be Arraigned in Mass.

A Massachusetts man accused of stabbing a relative, raping a woman, and kidnapping both, driving them to Ohio, is being returned to the Bay State to be arraigned Thursday.

Keven Blakemore, 21, was arrested on Aug. 23 in Pike County, Ohio. Authorities say the Boxborough resident stabbed a male relative five times before raping a woman. Both victims lived in the same Swanson Road home as Blakemore.

After the violent attacks, police say Blakemore forced them into a car and drove to Ohio.

Blakemore was charged with attempted murder, aggravated rape and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He also faces charges of kidnapping with sexual assault and kidnapping with serious bodily injury, both while armed.

According to officials, the suspect waived his extradition. Detectives from Boxborough Police arrived in Ohio and were scheduled to fly back to Massachusetts Wednesday evening with Blakemore.

Before his arraignment Thursday, Blakemore will be held without bail.
