Man Accused of Assaulting Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Police Officers

A Massachusetts man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting officers in Dartmouth over the weekend.

Dartmouth police say Daniel Gill, 62, of Fall River Road in Dartmouth was pulled over around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Cross Road.

While he was talking with officers, Gill allegedly became argumentative and aggressive.

Police say they tried to take Gill into custody because of his behavior, which is when they say he became physically combative and assaulted them.

Gill was eventually arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and threats to commit a crime.

It's unclear if he has an attorney.

Police say no one, including Gill, was injured.
