Man Accused of Illegally Amassing Weapons Due in Court

The manhunt for 32-year-old Dean Largesse began early Saturday morning

A Leicester, Massachusetts, man accused of illegally amassing a huge arsenal of weapons is expected in court Monday.

The manhunt for 32-year-old Dean Largesse began early Saturday morning when police say Largesse left his house after a domestic incident in Worcester and fled into the woods.

After searching the woods, police found a loaded assault rifle and a survival kit filled with additional ammunition.

Police say Largesse managed to continue to evade police by stealing a rowboat and rowing across Waite Pond. Meanwhile, investigators found more weapons and ammo in his apartment.

Largesse was arrested late Saturday night in Royalston, 35 miles away from his home.

He is now facing four charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm near a building, improperly storing a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Largesse is being held without bail. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
