Man Accused of Stealing Handguns, Ammunition

David Norman of Rochester, Mass. arrested on Sept. 15

A Rochester, Massachusetts, man was arrested on Sept. 15 in relation to a breaking and entering into a home in Fairhaven.

David Norman, 22, was taken into custody for the Sept. 12 break-in.

Norman is accused of breaking into a Howland St. home, and stealing numerous firearms and ammunition. It is unclear what Norman did with the firearms after he stole them, however, police say Norman was no longer in possession of them at the time of his arrest.

So far, police have recovered one of the guns, but seven others are still missing.

Norman has been charged with eight counts of larceny of a firearm, two counts of vandalism, breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony, larceny from a building and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He's being held pending a dangerousness hearing.
