Man Accused of Trying to Sell Fake Bruce Springsteen Tickets Arrested

A New Haven man is accused of trying to sell fake tickets to the Bruce Springsteen concert in Hartford on Wednesday night.

Detectives received several complaints from people who bought tickets advertised on Craigslist that turned out to be counterfeit and obtained a description and phone number for a suspect.

As a detective was at the XL Center to look for the suspect, Michael Finnimore, 50, of New Haven, approached the detective and tried to sell concert tickets, which turned out to be counterfeit, police said.

In all, Finnimore had eight counterfeit tickets and was booked at the police station, according to Hartford police.

He was charged with second-degree forgery and sixth-degree criminal attempted larceny.

Police said they are trying to identify victims and other suspects.

It’s not clear if he has an attorney.
