A New Hampshire man was charged with arson for a fire at a Laconia hotel early Friday morning.
Police say Benjamin Luoma of Meredith admitted to them that he lit a towel on fire in the fourth floor hallway of the Landmark Inn.
The fire spread to the carpet. No one was hurt as a result of the blaze, but there were minor damages to the property.
Luoma was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at 9 a.m.
