Thirty-five-year-old Robert Green faces a slew of assault charges, including assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed robbery, for crimes that police say do not seem random.

Police say the spree started on Thursday night. Officers were reportedly dispatched to the inside of a Walmart store at around 9 p.m., where they found a 29-year-old man suffering from significant head trauma and that the suspect, identified as Green, had already fled the area after allegedly punching the victim, knocking him out and stomping on his head.

Then, at around 10:55 p.m., police say they were dispatched to the Windfall parking lot for a reported stabbing, where they found a 30-year-old East Falmouth woman who had been stabbed numerous times in her back. The victim, who police say was taken to a Boston-area hospital, had been with Green before getting into a fight with another woman. Police say the 24-year-old female suspect, who is a Falmouth resident, has not been located. The female suspect's identity has not been released.

Police say Green's spree continued into the early morning hours of Friday, and that police were dispatched to a home on Homestead Lane for a reports of a fight just after 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, Falmouth Police say they learned Green shot a bow and arrow at and narrowly missed a 35-year-old East Falmouth man, then fled the scene.

However, Green returned to the same Homestead Lane address and allegedly smashed windows and assaulted a 39-year-old Falmouth resident. Barnstable County Sheriff's Capt. Barney Murphy was on the scene almost immediately and arrested Green, Falmouth Police said.
