Man Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash

Police have arrested a 30-year-old Vermont man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 54-year-old pedestrian over the weekend in Highgate.

He's accused of striking David Miller as Miller was walking east along the shoulder of state Route 78 Sunday morning.

Miller's body was discovered by a passing motorist in a ditch.

Police received a tip about the vehicle wanted in the accident that led them to Loiselle's residence Monday. Loiselle's 2002 Chevy Tahoe was seized by police.

Loiselle was being held while awaiting his arraignment Tuesday. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer and a phone number for him was not in service.
