Vermont State Police investigators are seeking information about an assault and robbery at a home in Craftsbury.

Police say that on Tuesday night two people went to the East Craftsbury Road home of a 48-year-old man saying they were having car trouble and asking for help.

When the homeowner turned to get the phone the suspects sprayed him with a type of pepper spray and assaulted him with a baseball bat.

The suspects stole money from the victim's wallet.

The Caledonian Record reports the victim told police one of the attackers was a white male about 6 feet tall. The victim couldn't tell if the second suspect was male or female, but that person was shorter.
