Police: Fleeing Man Had Weapons, Ammo, Survival Kit

Police in Massachusetts have arrested a man who left his home Leicester following a domestic incident in Worcester.

The manhunt began early Saturday morning when police say the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Dean Largesse, left his house and fled into the woods.

After searching the woods, police found a loaded assault rifle and a survival kit filled with additional ammunition.

Police say Largesse managed to continue to evade police by stealing a rowboat and rowing across Waite Pond. Meanwhile, investigators found more weapons an ammo in his apartment.

The suspect was arrested late Saturday night in Royalston, 35 miles away from his home.

Largesse was taken into custody safely, and is now facing four charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm near a building, improperly storing a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Largesse is being held without bail and will be in East Brookfield District Court Monday morning for his arraignment.
