Man Charged With July Stabbing

After a lengthy investigation, the Concord, New Hampshire, police department arrested Michael Bennett, 21.

Police in Concord, New Hampshire, have arrested a man on assault charges in connection to a July stabbing.

On July 19 at 2:40 p.m., Concord Police responded to Centre Street for a report of a stabbing and located a 19-year-old male who sustained a stab wound. He was transported to Concord Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

After a lengthy investigation, officers arrested Michael Bennett, 21, and charged him with first and second degree assault.

Police say the victim and suspect were familiar with each other and this was not a random event.

Bennett is being held on separate charges and will be arraigned Thursday.
