The trial of a Maine man police say killed another man and then assumed his identity is scheduled to get underway.

Jury selection for the murder trial of William Morse, of Trenton, is expected to start Monday in Hancock County Superior Court in Ellsworth.

Authorities allege the 45-Morse killed 61-year-old Richard Bellittieri between June 1 and Oct. 31, 2012.

When Morse was arrested in August 2013, prosecutors say he had Belletieri's car, social security card, driver's license and bank cards. Authorities say he even rented out a home owned by Bellittieri.

The victim's remains were found near his Trenton home in August 2013 and an autopsy determined he had been shot four times.

Morse's lawyer has said there is no evidence that his client shot the victim.
