An Abbot, Maine, man has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of his father two weeks ago in Parkman.
State police say Zachery Grant was taken into custody on Wednesday as he was released from a hospital where he had been treated for a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face.
State police have been investigating the death of 61-year-old David Grant. He was found shot to death in the front yard of his mobile home on May 12.
Zachery Grant is being held at the Piscataquis County Jail. He's expected to make his first court appearance in Dover-Foxcroft either Thursday or Friday, depending on the availability of a judge.
