A Massachusetts man was arrested and charged in connection with an armed gas station robbery last week.
Matthew A Skinner, 33, of Newton was arraigned Friday after his arrest earlier in the day on one count armed masked robbery in connection with the armed robbery of a Gulf gas station on Beacon Street in Newton on Nov. 15.
Skinner was ordered to be held on $5,000 cash bail and to stay away from the gas station and its employees in the event he's released. He was also ordered to submit to random drugs and alcohol screenings.
Newton police say Skinner turned himself in to authorities.
Skinner's next court date is Jan. 23. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
