Man Charged in Crash That Killed Passenger Due in Court

Deng Chol Mabor has been charged with negligent homicide, aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct

A 39-year-old New Hampshire man facing several charges in connection with a weekend crash in Bedford that killed one of his passengers is due in court Monday.

Deng Chol Mabor has been charged with negligent homicide, aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless conduct for the Friday afternoon crash that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Thon Kuai.

Police say Chol Mabor struck a utility pole on South River Road at a high rate of speed, which sent his Nissan Altima airborne before clearing a fence and flipping over. The Manchester man and his two passengers were taken to Elliot Hospital, where Kuai was pronounced dead.

Chol Mabor suffered shoulder, arm and neck injuries. The second passenger was treated for her injuries and released.

It's unclear if Chol Mabor has an attorney who can comment.
