Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Young Girl

Santos Cerritos' bail has been revoked

Jurors have convicted a Manchester, New Hampshire man of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl, whose family had hired him to renovate a bathroom at their Nashua home.

The Nashua Telegraph reports 53-year-old Santos Cerritos was convicted last week of two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault after jurors found he inappropriately touched and performed a sex act upon the girl 2 1/2 years ago.

Cerritos' bail has been revoked. Prosecutors say one of the counts carries a presumptive sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. The other carries a prison term of 10 to 30 years. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for early April.

Cerritos was arrested in September 2014. He denied any wrongdoing when questioned by investigators.
