A 20-year-old New Britain man is dead after falling over a concrete barrier on Interstate 84 East in Hartford Tuesday night and onto the railroad tracks below, according to state police.
Police said the 2007 Chevy Aveo that Mark Anthony Lopez had been driving was stopped in the left lane of I-84 near exit 49 and Lopez was standing outside the vehicle when another driver hit the back of the car just after 9:30 p.m.
Lopez fell over the barrier, onto the railroad tracks, and died from his injuries, according to state police.
