Andrew Leeman of Westbrook, Maine faces several charges

A 22-year-old Maine man is in custody facing charges he assaulted a state police dog.

Andrew Leeman of Westbrook faces charges of assault, refusing to submit to arrest, interference with a law enforcement dog, and animal cruelty. State police say they apprehended Leeman near the Buxton-Hollis town line on Friday.
