Police have arrested a Massachusetts man they say is connected to a slew of robberies in New Bedford.
Authorities first arrested Scott Almeida, 46, for an alleged armed robbery that took place on October 3 at the Jalice Café on Acushnet Avenue.
Following the arrest, investigators discovered Almeida was linked to five other area robberies, including three at the same 7-11 on Acushnet Avenue.
A search warrant was then executed at Almeida's home where investigators found scratch tickets with serial numbers that matched tickets taken during one of the robberies.
Police said he is also allegedly connected to the armed robbery of Our Lady of Angels Band Club on Acushnet Avenue.
Almeida is currently being held on bail pending his arraignment.
