The man accused of stealing from the collection box at Saint Patrick's Church in Stoneham, Massachusetts is heading to prison after pleading guilty Monday.
John McHale was sentenced to 18 months for stealing about $100.
Police say he pried opened the box in February and was arrested last month.
Cell phone pictures and surveillance footage helped police track him down.
Police say McHale was also involved in a robbery at the church back in October.
