A man was arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop in Milton, Massachusetts, Tuesday.
Around 10 p.m., a trooper stopped a car for a traffic violation and found the operator, Carmen J. Figueroa, 27, to be unlicensed.
As a result of the investigation, the passenger in the car, Luis A. Cortez, 29, was found to be in possession of about 25 grams of heroin. He is charged with trafficking heroin, morphine, and opium and failure to wear a seat belt.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and will be arraigned in Quincy District Court.
Cortez was held on $500,000 bail.
