Man Indicted in Fatal Supermarket Stabbing

A Maine man charged with fatally stabbing a woman in a Maine supermarket has been indicted and is awaiting arraignment.

Police arrested Saco resident Connor MacCalister in August and charged him with killing 59-year-old Wendy Boudreau at a Shaw's supermarket. MacCalister appeared in court after the arrest but didn't say anything or enter a plea.

Court records show a grand jury indicted MacCalister on Sept. 10. A spokesman for Maine's attorney general says an arraignment date has not been set. Bail has also not been set in the case.

Records state that MacCalister said he was "off my meds" at the time of the stabbing, which the records state he later confessed to. The case is due for a court appearance on Oct. 30 but the arraignment could be sooner.
