Man Injured in Early-Morning Stabbing at ATM in Springfield, Mass.

Police say the victim was attacked in a Bank of America ATM at about 6 a.m. Friday

Springfield, Massachusetts police say a man has been stabbed while using an ATM in the city that's right across the street from a state police barracks. 

Police say the victim was attacked in a Bank of America ATM at about 6 a.m. Friday. He was cut on his hand and slashed on his back during a struggle. He was taken to the hospital but police says the injuries are considered minor. 

His name has not been released. 

The suspect ran away and there have been no arrest announcements. He was described as about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt.
