Man Pleads Guilty to Raping 2 Pre-Teen Girls

An Auburn, Massachusetts, man convicted of raping two pre-teen girls has been sentenced to up to nine years in prison

An Auburn, Massachusetts, man convicted of raping two pre-teen girls has been sentenced to up to nine years in prison.

Prosecutors say 58-year-old Barry Andre started assaulting the girls when one was 8 years old and the other was 11.

In addition to his prison term, Andre was sentenced in Worcester Superior Court to five years of probation after pleading guilty to rape of a child with force, rape, assault with intent to rape, indecent assault and battery on a child, and indecent exposure.

Authorities say Andre assaulted the girls on various dates from about the summer of 2002 until about the summer of 2013.

The Telegram & Gazette reports that the victims, in impact statements, said they still suffer from depression, insomnia and other disorders.
