Man Running For Office in Vermont Charged With Revenge Porn

Fifty-seven-year-old Pat Liebrecht acknowledged to the Burlington Free Press he has been charged with disclosure of sexually explicit images without consent

A Vermont man who's running for a state House seat is facing "revenge porn'' charges alleging he posted revealing photos of an ex-girlfriend without her permission.

Fifty-seven-year-old Pat Liebrecht acknowledged to the Burlington Free Press he has been charged with disclosure of sexually explicit images without consent.

He says he pleaded not guilty last month. A police affidavit says the women told officers Liebrecht posted the photos after she broke up with him.

Liebrecht is running to represent Chittenden 9-1 district in Colchester.

Vermont Republican Party executive director Jeff Bartley on Wednesday called the accusations against Liebrecht "deeply disturbing and disgusting."

Liebriecht says he will be "proven innocent."

Gov. Peter Shumlin signed a law last year making it illegal to share sexually explicit images without consent of the subject.
