Man Sentenced for Raping 2 Teens

A registered sex offender who tied up two teenage girls at a Springfield home, cut them with a knife, and raped them, has been sentenced to up to 23 years in prison.

Masslive.com reports that Peter Wray was sentenced Wednesday following a jury-waived trial at which he was convicted of several charges, including four counts of aggravated rape.

The victims, 16 and 18 at the time of the September 2014 assaults, say they went to a house party and when it became late they decided to stay overnight in a room together.

They say the 36-year-old Wray woke them up, bound them, cut them and raped them, while accusing them of stealing $650 from him.

Wray fled Massachusetts but was caught in Georgia about a month later.
