Authorities say a 38-year-old man has been struck and killed by a freight train in Belchertown, Massachusetts.
Police Chief Francis Fox Jr. says the victim was struck on the tracks at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The man's name was not made public pending notification of family.
The southbound train was on tracks owned by New England Central Railroad and railroad employees notified authorities.
The death remains under investigation.
