The 21-year-old suspect appeared in court Thursday

A Massachusetts man and a teenage boy were arrested in connection to the stabbing that killed a 15-year-old boy and injured two others Wednesday evening, officials announced.

Luis Rafael Class, 21, of New Bedford was charged with accessory to murder after the fact and assault and battery in the murder of Mateo Morales, also a New Bedford resident.

Class appeared in New Bedford District Court on Thursday.

A 16-year-old boy, whose name was not released, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Neither were charged with murder.

New Bedford police say they were called to the scene at Middle and Chancery streets Wednesday just before 6:30 p.m., where they found Morales dead. The two other victims, a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, were treated for non-life threatening injuries at local hospitals.

The teen has since been released from the hospital, according to police.
