New Hampshire State Police say a man was injured after he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on the Route 1 Bypass in Portsmouth Monday night.
The incident happened in the southbound travel lane of the Route 1 Bypass around 10 p.m.
Jeffery Argereow, 46, was walking northbound and was struck by a International Harvester box truck driven by Charles Drost.
Argereow was seriously injured and was transported to Portsmouth Regional hospital. Officials say his injuries are non-life-threatening.
The southbound side of the bypass was closed for an hour during investigation.
Officials have not said if Drost faces any charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
