Man Who Lived on Campsite for Nearly a Decade Fighting Eviction

A man called Muskrat who has lived in a wood cabin on a New Hampshire campground for nearly a decade says he will fight an eviction notice.

Rick Panzieri, who built "Muskrat Lodge" off his trailer on an Epsom campground, says the previous owner allowed him to stay and even accepted his rent checks.

The Concord Monitor reports the new manager sent him and seven others an eviction notice last week after the town discovered campers had been living there for extended periods of time and at least one child was enrolled in Epsom's schools.

The manager says Panzieri will be arrested Sunday if he refuses to leave.

Panzieri, a union foreman who wears animal skins and a coonskin cap, says his lawyer will be speaking with the manager.
