Maine State Police are looking for a man that allegedly escaped from a state trooper's car in handcuffs Tuesday.

Two troopers went to a residence on Ahonen Road in Otisfield looking for 27-year-old Maxx Noble. Police said he was facing several felony charges from a State Police and MDEA investigation. Troopers found him and took into custody with handcuffs and put Noble inside the police cruiser. Later, when the Troopers were inside a residence, police said Noble managed to unbuckle his seatbelt, unlock the cruiser, and flee into the nearby woods. He was still wearing handcuffs and was only in socks.

Troopers, Oxford County Sheriff's Office and Oxford Police searched for four hours with tracking dogs in a wide area near the Harrison town line, but were not successful. Deputies and troopers alerted neighbors and motorists.

Noble was last seen wearing a blue jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and white socks. Police said his sneakers were removed following his arrest.

Noble will face more charges including escape and theft. Police ask that anyone with information of his whereabouts contact State Police in Gray at 657-3030 or the Oxford County Sheriff's Department. Police said Noble is desperate and the public should avoid any contact with him.
