Marathon Bombing Victim Charity Announces 2015 Team

The foundation created in honor of the 8-year-old Massachusetts boy killed in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings has announced its roster of charity runners for the 2015 race.

The Martin W. Richard Charitable Foundation says 59 runners have been chosen through the marathon's program that allows runners to participate if they are raising money for a charity.

The foundation is still looking for qualified runners.

Of the 59 runners chosen, 15 are from the Richard family's Dorchester neighborhood, and 12 are from other sections of Boston. Forty-seven are from Massachusetts.

The organization, which invests in "education, athletics and community," was formed by Bill and Denise Richard after their son was killed in the April 15, 2013 bombings. The foundation raised more than $1.25 million at last year's marathon.
