Marblehead, Mass. Non-Profit Sends Halloween Candy to Troops

The Marblehead, Mass. non-profit sends care packages to troops overseas.

Instead of eating all of your leftover Halloween candy, one Massachusetts community proposes you donate it troops deployed overseas.

The non-profit organization “Calling All Patriots Troop Support” is based in Marblehead, Massachusetts. The group sends care packages to troops serving overseas. They, along with the Marblehead Police Department, decided to collect leftover candy for the soldiers.

President and founder of the organization Mark Brings says, “It’s important [troops] get remembered every single day, and that’s what this is all about.”

He is grateful that the police department and everyone in the Marblehead community continue to remember everyone serving overseas.

Collection started yesterday and will continue until the end of next week.
