Mass. Auto Shop Worker Arrested for Allegedly Upskirting

Victim said worker pointed cell phone towards her from underneath 'pit' area

An auto shop worker at a Tewksbury garage was arrested on Monday after police said he "upskirted" — or secretly recorded/photographed a female customer underneath her dress.

The victim told police the incident took place at Sooner Lube on Main Street where Todd Mitchell Jr., 26, of Lowell, was in the “pit” area of the garage underneath her vehicle. The woman said she was called into the garage to go over what was being done to her vehicle when she noticed Mitchell allegedly pointing a cell phone towards her from underneath the pit.

Following an investigation, Mitchell was placed under arrest and charged with secret sexual surveillance, otherwise known as “upskirting.”

Mitchell was arraigned on the charge Tuesday at Lowell District Court.
