A Ct. Man Injured After Being Attacked With Knife

A Connecticut man is injured after being attacked by another man with a kitchen knife early Sunday morning at a residence in Dudley, Massachusetts.

According to Dudley Police, the 34-year-old victim, from Grosvenordale, sustained a non-life threatening laceration to his right shoulder.

Just after midnight on Sunday morning Dudley Police and EMS Personnel responded to a report of a medical emergency, that may have involved a knife, at home located at 6 Warsaw Ave.

Police report that upon arriving, they observed the side door of the home open, as a well as borken glass, blood and a large knife on the kitchen floor.  After checking the residence, police found 33-year-old male resident, Bryan Walsh, laying face down on a bed.  The victim was not present.

Police located a male and a female outside of the home, in their vehicle.  The male was identified as the victim, and they were both reported to have been in the residence at the time of the incident.

According to police investigations, the victim and Walsh were drinking alcohol for most of the day, and at some point, Walsh began a confrontation with the victim.  Walsh allegedly armed himself with the kitchen knife that is claimed to have caused the victim's injury.

EMS personnel treated the victim, and he was later taken to the hospital.

Walsh was placed under arrest and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.  He is being held on $240 cash bail, and he's scheduled to appear in Dudley District Court on Monday, June 20th.
